A new building for Shishida ophthalmological clinic
PLAN
テナントにて開業されていた 眼科 医院 様の新築移転計画でした。
眼科クリニック 建築 予定地の敷地面積は567.45㎡（172坪）、接道状況を鑑み東側に駐車場を一定台数確保し、 建築 面積270.56㎡（建蔽率47.68％）二階建て延べ面積474.35㎡（容積率74.99％）としました。
当初 眼科 クリニック は建設コストを抑えるため木造で計画していましたが、限られた 建築 面積のなかで検査スペースを１階に確保すると、手術室は２階に設置せざるをえなくなるため、構造を変更しました。手術室を２階に設置する場合、建物の振動による手術への影響が懸念されるためです。振動の心配が最も少ないのは鉄筋コンクリート造ですが、更にコストがあがってしまうため、鉄骨造を採用することになりました。This newly built ophthalmological clinic is a relocation of an already existing practice. The new building site area is 567.45㎡, in order to give more space to a parking lot with a direct access from the main road on the east side, the building area was restricted to 270.56㎡offering a total built area of 474.35㎡ as a two levels building.
Initially it was planned to build the clinic in a wooden structure in order to reduce the cost of construction. However the functional layout of the inspection area occupied most of the first floor, resulting in the operation rooms being moved upstairs which raised our concern about the vibration that could alter such extremely precise operations. The use of concrete structure would be perfect in this case but it would considerably raise the cost of construction,therefore it was decided to build the clinic using a metallic frame.

建築 の外観については２階部分が大きく突き出した デザイン をご要望頂き、白と黒２色のソリッドが噛み合うダイナミックなフォルムをご提案しました。鉄骨 建築 ならではの大きく突き出すキャンチレバーです。
クリニック の インテリア も外観の デザイン を反映し、白と濃いグレーのコントラストでシックに仕上げました。
２階には手術室や クリニック バックヤードの他に、院長先生の奥様が経営されるカフェを併設しています。こちらのカフェはモダンな和カフェのイメージに仕上たいとのことでしたので、ガラス床の座敷下に石庭を施し、また２階カフェへのアプローチとなる階段下にも石庭を設置しました。The client request about the building appearance was to use big cantilevers on the second floor; the proposed form is a dynamic dichromatic volume interaction in black and white, using the metallic frame helped making such cantilever.
This appearance was reflected on the interior by using a chic contrast of white and dark grey. In addition to the operating rooms and the clinic backyard, the second level hosts a Café managed by the Doctor’s wife. The intention was to give this café a modern Japanese image, thus a rock garden was installed under glass flooring that hosts Japanese style coffee tables. Two additional rock gardens were placed under the light steel staircase and the hall on the second floor.
